Question: What is this film. it is a cartoon animation for children?

And it is about a troll? or a little creature that has a secret garden under ground and he befriends a little girl who comes to help him with the plants, she or he is then taken away by these funny nasty little creatures this may not be correct but is what i remember from when i was young and probably made around 13 years ago if a little more or less. thanks if u can guess

Sounds like David the Gnome. I loved that show when I was little!
